Guestbook

Just repeating what has been said in all the comments - what a lovely cottage. A lovely layout, clean and most welcoming with the extras! It's so cosy, you do not want to leave it!
Had walks on Ferryside beach, drinks in the white lion.
Long walk on Pendine sands, miles of beach to walk on when the tide is out.
Been to Parc y Bocs twice, very good food.
Hope to return and stay longer X

Nicki, Phil, Bill and Compo 🐾🐾,

This was our first stay and was so impressed with this beautiful little cottage.
It was the perfect get away!!
Located in a really nice area, with lots to see and do.
This little cottage has everything you need to make it feel like home.
The shower is awesome!!
The bed was so comfy, we slept for hours each night!
The little touches make it feel really special.
We have had some beautiful walks along the beaches in the area and our Pasha pup has had the best time exploring.
It may be our first visit but certainly will not be our last!!
Thank you Terri and Julian for making this a very memorable week.

Caz, Barry and Pasha pup 🐾 xxx,

4 nights stay.
What a lovely cottage, we arrived to a lovely gesture by Terri, Welsh cakes and dog treats for Hera.
The cottage is well stocked with everything you need for a stress free break. The weather was kind which made the location perfect for what we needed. Nice off road parking and lovely garden. Nothing seemed too much trouble for the hosts.
Thank you very much.

Louise, Tony + Hera 🐾,

We had a lovely week at the cottage, warm and comfortable with everything we needed.
Closeness to the beach was great for walking our dog.
Two wet days didn't stop us from getting out and about, lots of good walking in the area.
We particularly enjoyed the Stackpole walk (near Pembroke) and Brechfa forest. Plenty of beaches and good exercise for our dog.
The cottage has been a home from home with everything here that all three of us needed/ wanted. Thank you.

Joanne, Tony and Chester 🐾 Cheshire ,

We have really enjoyed this long awaited holiday, really comfortable bed, big shower and very dog friendly.
Ralphie our Cockapoo loved the beach and so did we, spotting herons, egrets and oyster catchers.
The Botanic gardens well worth a visit, as is Pembrey country park. Also took a walk along the river and around the castle in Kidwelly.
We too Ralphie to the pub and drank some very nice Welsh bitter.
We will be back.

Liz, Dave + Ralphie xx,

Lovely little place.
Found everything we needed.
Cosy, warm with a "feel like home" vibe.
Very dog friendly and felt relaxed with our pooch being in the garden.
Window seat too small for our brute, but he lives watching the world go by, Weller is 65kg and the size of a pony!
Very friendly people in the village.
Burry Port is worth a visit.
Thanks for having us.

Steve, Petra and Weller,

Our second visit here and it was as good as the first!
New place to eat was Inn at the sticks in Llansteffan for Sunday lunch, incredible roast and dog friendly, ideal after a walk to the castle and play on the beach.
Also ate agaIn at 3 rivers, a great meal and in walking distance.
The beach being so close is a real treat for Buds. Such a dog-friendly home to return to is do nice.
Thanks again Terri, another great break.

Emma, Jon & Buddy the mini schnauzer ,

Cottage perfect for us and the dogs especially the garden that was really dog proof.
Weather was better than August, an added bonus.
Have been to this area before and can recommend Llansteffan, great beach and walks.
Our highlight was Farmyard nurseries nr Llandysul bought far too many plants, have never seen such variety!
Thank you Terri for such a great cottage that was spotless and had everything you could ever need.
Thank you too for the treats, very welcome.
Hope to come back soon

Chris, Dave & Willow, George & Dixie,

Beautiful little cottage, situated a short walk from the beach. It is literally equipped with everything you need to enjoy a relaxing weekend away.
The Welsh cakes and treats were an extra special touch.
The location is perfect and although we didn't visit Kidwelly, we thoroughly enjoyed Ferryside.
This cottage is extremely pet friendly and our dog Ruby has thoroughly enjoyed.
Hafan Fferi has been amazing and we would love to return in the future.

Dan, Holly and Ruby 🐾,

Lovely little cottage, Archie our Cockapoos loved the beach, so near, and sometimes he had it all to himself!
Good place as a base to explore all the surrounding areas.
Trip to Llansteffan was lovely, bit of a hike to the castle but worth it.
Had a lovely meal at the Red Lion, not far, short drive away, and it was very dog friendly.
Met a lot of the locals, who were very friendly and helpful.
We enjoyed our week here.

Kate, Frank and Archie,

This little cottage has a homely and relaxing feel, it has all we needed to enjoy a week of exploring the area, amazing walks on beautiful beaches nearby.
Terri's communication is lovely - warm and friendly, the cottage is super clean and Ivy-dog enjoyed being made to feel welcome here, truly a thoughtful dog friendly place to be, thanks Terri!

"OUR HONEYMOON"

Terri and Julian, what can I say that hasn't already been said?
A fabulous place with everything anyone could ever need or want whilst staying here.
Small but perfectly formed, we loved it, as did Parker and his brother and sister, Ernie and Roxy.
We visited Tenby, Saundersfoot, Pembrey, Kidwelly, Llansteffan, Llanelli, and somewhere we hadn't been before Green Castle wood - a lovely place ideal for dog walking and admiring the countryside.
We are returning home relaxed and planning our next visit!!!
Thank you again, we are never disappointed, your places are always spotlessly clean and never disappoint.
See you soon, Mr and Mrs Roger!! XXX

Liz, Lee, Parker, Roxy and Ernie.,

We have had such a lovely time.
Hafan Fferi is just fantastic - we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay, our Cockapoos, Poppy and Daisy, loved being so close to the beach for their morning walk and they loved their treats!

We have travelled around quite a lot and can recommend Dale, Tenby, Saundersfoot, Kidwelly castle and Llansteffan.
Lovely meal at the Red Lion in Llandyfaelog - a very friendly pub.

Thank you for making our stay such a relaxing and enjoyable time - the bottle of wine, Welsh cakes, dog treats etc etc really make it a home from home.
You've set an extremely high bar for anywhere else we go!

Kay, Robin, Poppy and Daisy - Worcester ,

Fabulous stay in such a pretty cottage. Just had amazing weather, really hot, yet keeping the blinds closed kept the cottage nice and cool. Lovely garden for Sam the Schnauzer who was also spoilt with his doggie treats. Lovely beach and a few trips round and about. Will definitely be coming back for another stay. Many thanks Terri and Julian xx

Pat, Keith and Sam,

Such a lovely cottage!
Thank you for allowing us to stay with our 2 dogs. The wine/ Welsh cakes/ dog treats were such a lovely touch on our arrival.
This is a beautiful fantastic area and Ferryside is such a good base to explore from. We have been to Llansteffan beach and castle, Rhossilli and beach on the Gower, Kidwelly, Burry Port beach, Pendine sands, Tenby, Cenarth falls, Carmarthen, Cardigan and Poppit sands and Laugharne castle.
Tina + Mick + Bailey (Cockapoos) + Max (Cavachon) xxx Home today and will take in the Botanical gardens as it's doggy Friday πŸ˜ƒ
Thank you Terri and Julian

Tina and Mick,

Thank you for such a wonderful stay! The cottage is lovely and it's great it is so close to the beach! It was our dog Rafiki's first holiday and he had a great time running around on the beach! It's also great that there are so many dog friendly attractions and places to eat nearby. We have really enjoyed our stay.
P.S Rafiki loved the dog biscuits!

Alice, Joel and Rafiki the Lab,

A wonderful week in Hafan Fferi.
Brilliant weather, wonderful walks ( we walked from Kidwelly to Ferryside and from just before Carmarthen to Ferryside) and two visits to the National Botanic gardens (you get a week worth of visits on your tickets) Monday and Friday were "doggy days"
We love staying in this cottage - our second visit and hopefully there will be many more. A great base and close to our son at Pontyates.

Betty and David and Daisy the Collie,

What a lovely cottage and all the extras so appreciated. The shower is awesome!

Sandie and dogs Ralph, Ruby and Mindy,

Another great stay in this gorgeous cottage. Everything you could possibly want and more. The extras are most welcome and add to the overall stay.
Visiting with Ted our 2 yr old golden doodle he made himself at home from the minute we arrived.
Can recommend a visit to Golden Grove about 40 mins drive away - lovely dog friendly park with cafe and play areas for children. We also enjoyed our visits to Pembrey country park - lovely place with so much to do and very dog friendly. We have family living in the area so will definitely be back.
Terri and Julian - keep doing what you are doing, you are both achieving the BEST dog friendly cottages we know.
XXX
P.S thanks again for the birthday card for Dave - such a lovely touch X

Sue, Dave and Ted,

Thank you for a fabulous break. We totally relaxed from the moment we arrived. The cottage was perfect for us and our 2 Cockapoos, Molly and Winnie. We walked on the beach and through the woods. We enjoyed coffee and cake and one of us found the men's shed and didn't want to leave!
We really enjoyed Pembrey country park and walked miles along the beach. We drove to Llansteffan castle and walked along the beach and had lunch in a local cafe. The weather was fab so we made good use of the BBQ. A few mins walk to the sports field for the dogs. The local shop is well stocked, also the co op at Kidwelly was excellent. Loved the shower!
We are already planning a return trip X

Naomi, Daman, Molly and Winnie 🐾,

As previous comments, Hafan Fferi was more than welcome expected. All the little touches - dog biscuits for Fudge, wine and Welsh cakes for us! Everything was immaculate and the comfiest bed - very difficult to get out of in the morning!!
Wonderful walks on the beach and through the woods past the yacht club. Fudge was in his element and the dog bowls were much appreciated, as was your pretty garden.
The co-op at Kidwelly was brilliant and we loved Llansteffan - fabulous castle and great fish and chips and burgers from Florries, eaten sitting on a bench in the glorious sunshine looking across to Ferryside.
Wish we could have been here for longer, but a wonderful min break.
Thank you for making your cottage so attractive and welcoming.

Fiona, Anthony and Fudge 🐾,

It has all been said in previous comments, the wonderful care and thought put into everything to ensure that you have a marvellous holiday.
For us, this has been a special break enabling us to see our four grandchildren, granddaughter and son in law for the first time in 8 months due to Coronavirus. Terri has done her utmost to accommodate and goes above and beyond. That personal touch shines through from the booking, arrival and during the stay. Wouldn't dream if staying anywhere else (seconded by our two westies who are very much at home!)
Thank you Terri and Julian

Gill, Joe, Betsi and Holly.,

This little gem never disappoints!
Thrilled that the cottage was decorated for Xmas too, what a lovely surprise 😊
Thanks once again for a lovely break in one of our favourite places. We'll be back for sure!
Merry Christmas!
Shirley, Graham, Rosie and Luna Xx 🐾🐾

Shirley ,

Such a lovely, cosy cottage. I think Molly thinks it's her new home!!
We have really enjoyed exploring the local area including Pembrey country park and the beautiful beach that goes on forever!!
But our favourite walk is right on the doorstep! I recommend going down the quayside, turn right through the woods and along the beach until you reach the stream running under the railway. Molly spent ages playing in the water with other dogs and absolutely loved it!!

A really lovely and much needed mini break away from the COVID 19 nightmare. Looking forward to coming back in 2021!!

Iain and Molly,

Had a lovely relaxing week, 1st time staying in Ferryside, and love the cottage a real home from home and so cosy.

Had some lovely walks, went to Colby woodland gardens and Amroth is worth a visit.

Will be back, a real welcome break
Lots of love Dave, Lucy and Molly πŸ’œ

Dave, Lucy and Molly,

We've had a brilliant time!
Despite the rain we've had some wonderful dog walks - Pendine sands, Pembrey woods and beach, Ferryside and Llansteffan. The castle at Llansteffan is amazing!
Hafan Fferi is a home away from home and has everything we need to enjoy our mini holiday!
Looking forward to being back in 2021!

Gill, Paul and Gus ,

We have just enjoyed our two night stay after winning the promise auction to raise funds for the Ferry, Glansteffan, vital funds for this much needed service, put at risk due to Coronavirus pandemic/ lockdown this year.
Our 1st time here at Hafan Fferi (won't be our last) πŸ˜€
What a fabulous cottage with EVERYTHING we could ever need, such a great location!
Our dog "Teddy" has loved his walks/runs on the beach (so close!)
We've travelled to Kidwelly though for family visits and Chinese takeaway though πŸ˜‰
We look forward to visiting again soon! Keep safe! Thanks xx

Sue, Dave & Teddy,

Dear Terri,
What a truly 'Dog Friendly ' cottage you have! We have never stayed anywhere claimed to be dog friendly as fully kitted out for our four-legged friends with every detail not forgotten.
Ricky as well as us have used your lovely cottage as a base to explore your stunning coastline. We have spent many hours walking and of course ball chasing along the beaches.
Thanks again

Lorraine, Henry & Ricky 🐾,

Our fourth visit and a welcome break after months of lockdown. The weather has been mild - 2 storms, Ellen and Francis but we managed to get out every day.
Looking forward to our next visit to this special cottage

Penny, David and dog Lena - Pontypridd,

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The cottage is delightful. We particularly like the shower and our dog Os are the Shitzu loved the window seat!
Beautiful walks in a rural location.
Time for Tea in Kidwelly was very welcoming to us and our dog!
Perfect chilled out few days was just what we needed in this wonderful accommodation.
Thank you Terri for the great hospitality - ten out of ten

Dawn, Millie, Oscar the dog - Kent,

We came back to Wales (my homeland) after our holiday to Cyprus was cancelled. We were so lucky Terri has space, thank you so much.
As always we've had the best time, we've done so much! The dog is so tired he doesn't want to get in the car πŸ˜€
A lovely welcome from Terri, clean as always and I enjoy the wine and Welsh cakes!!
Thank you for letting us make amazing memories

Eve, Blake and Koby dog,

Here for a short break after being postponed from April.
We're so looking forward to a change of scenery and the cottage doesn't disappoint.
Wonderful comfy bed and great shower.
Love the decor, and the enclosed garden was well received by our Cockapoo Henry.
Thank you Terri for a wonderful stay.
Thanks for the treats on arrival.
Would love to return sometime.

Tracey, Steve and Henry dog x,

Lovely few days away for my boyfriends 30th. The dog particularly loved going mental in the beach, for a little dig he certainly picks up some speed!
We weren't able to explore the local pubs etc due to Coronavirus but there are worse places to be holes up! Cwtching in front of the the log burner with the dog, we certainly were able to have a relaxing few days.
Can't thank Terri enough for all the little extras, dog treats, and human treats! They certainly added a little something.
Will definitely look to return, maybe in warmer weather - post apocalypse!
Thanks for everything Xxx

Cath and Chris,

Lovely cottage throughout, very welcoming and cosy. Beautiful area and lovely walks, the local people are so friendly.
Thank you Terri and Julian, we will be back.

Anne, Karl and Lexi the Staffy X,

This was the perfect way to end January, even if the weather wasn't on our side 100% of the time. However we got some sunshine for a couple of hours on the Sunday, and didn't hesitate to get an extra walk in the beach.
Let's get onto the cottage, Terri has the beautiful little cottage here, with everything you could need. It was lovely to walk in after 4 1/2 hour drive to tea and coffee with milk in the fridge, and some extra goodies on the side.
Before arriving Terri had asked if we were bringing our dog, so there were also goodies for our dog too!! With bowls at the ready and the water bowl filled with fresh water. We also loved the spot in the window which was reserved for the dog. Dudley also appreciated the ball in the garden.
The cottage was very cosy when we arrived as the heating was on, as it was freezing outside, which was lovely, we had everything we needed and more. I definitely recommend lighting the fire in the evening or on a wet and windy day. We also found it very easy to replenish down at the local shop in Ferryside and the farm shop on Kidwelly.
We would recommend a trip to
-Ship aground in Burry Port
- Llansteffan (castle and beach)
- Botanic gardens
- Burns farm shop, Kidwelly

Overall we had a wonderful time and I am sure we will be back again xx πŸ’™

Leanne, Daniel and Dudley the Dachshund ,

Thank you.
Perfect again. Delightful cottage, hosts and village.
Sure we will be back again soon if there is availability.
Looking forward to seeing the beautiful Welsh bluebells in a few weeks!

Jane, Rob and 1 small dog 🐾,

Enjoyed a lovely cosy Christmas in the cottage. The best dog friendly place we've stayed in! Thank you for the treats - both human and doggy!
You've thought of everything Terri, very welcoming and relaxing.
We enjoyed some great beach walks, especially Pembrey sands on Christmas morning - what a treat.
Thanks for everything. Looking forward to coming back next year.
Happy New year, 2020

Jane, Tony and Tilly 🐾,

Fabulous cottage. Everything you need. Nothing is too much trouble for Terri. It's absolutely perfect for Lulu and I. Everything is so close. We loved the beach, fish and chips take away after a pint in the White Lion.

The welcoming bottle of wine, Welsh cakes, dog biscuits and pint of milk is so thoughtful and appreciated. The dog towels at the door came in very handy.
Trace and Lulu xx

Tracey ,

What a gorgeous little cottage this is. We have all loved staying here every minute. This was the first holiday I have ever taken my girls (dogs) with me and I was stressing a little bit, but there was no need to. Terri has thought of everyones needs especially the dogs. The spare dog towels came in very handy and the hose outside to wash them down after a beach day was amazing.

Whilst here we did a lovely walk down the beach and to Poachers rest. We then had dinner there another night, was very dog friendly and food was amazing.

We did a day trip to Tenby which we highly recommend. It's a lovely seaside town with lots to do and loads of dog friendly places.

Another dog friendly place which the food was amazing was the Red Lion in Llandyfaelog.

Thank you so much Terri for allowing us to borrow this cottage.

Rosy, Pat, willow and Molly 🐾🐾,

Amazing short stay, brilliant location, peaceful, short walk to all amenities and train station which was great! Cottage is equipped with everything you could need - great to have outdoor tap for muddy paws too! Would definitely come again, wonderful!

Laura, Lee and Reggie 🐾,

Our third visit and wonderful as ever. Perfect for a relaxing break in every way.

Penny, David and Lena from Pontypridd ,

A beautiful little cottage in a lovely location. We felt right at home, straight away with the welcome touches of wine, Welsh cakes and dog treats!
Walking distance from the beach meant we spent lots of time walking up and down the coast - when we weren't doing that we were outside enjoying the sun trap that is the garden. Thank you Terri for being a first class host and we look forward to returning again soon!

Helen, Nia, Lady and Bychan,

What an enjoyable week we had staying at Hafan Fferi. The cottage is lovely - cosy, well-equipped and clean.
The enclosed garden and outside tap were so useful for our 2 dogs.the cottage is in a great location to be able to explore this part of Wales. It was lovely to be able to walk our dogs down the road to the beach, the local shop was very handy too.
We visited many places (all dog-friendly) and would highly recommend the following:
- Llansteffan beach
- Stackpole quay and coast path walk
- Laugharne and Dylan Thomas birthday walk
- Pembrey country park
- Brechfa forest - lovely walks and great bike trails
- Pendine sands

Thank you

Lisa, Lynn, Rolo and Jet,

A fantastic cottage, very clean and welcoming. Everything we needed was here and more. Will definitely come back to stay, a great place to chill and relax.

Jason Maggie and Radley,

What a hidden gem, well thought out cosy cottage. We loved exploring the Gower peninsula with our 2 bone idle greyhounds.
They loved the local beach and Pembrey too.
Terri was a wonderful, thoughtful host and we have had a fabulous time here.
We can't wait to come back in October.
Thanks for having us.

Zoe, Jim, Rosie and Maggie,

We had an unexpected free weekend (the only one this year!) and decided a mini beach trip was just what we needed!

Luckily I found this amazing place and Terri was so helpful and kind, letting us book at the very last minute. The four hour Friday night journey was more than worth it!

The dogs had a fabulous time on Burry Port beach and also at ginst point.

Parc y Bocs did a lovely lunch and had some yummy cakes to take home.

Sadly we couldn't stay any longer but was just what we needed.

The cottage is beautiful and the Welsh cakes were a lovely welcome. The dogs enjoyed their biscuits very much too!

Thanks for everything Terri, border collie's, Jynx, Dizzy and Dairylea had a fabulous time, as did we 🐾 Xx

Bea and Tracey,

What a fantastic cottage, two minutes walk to the beach where I went every afternoon with my little Jackapoo Jett, he absolutely loved it, ten minutes running around like a lunatic and a nice stroll further up the beach, he even had a paddle in the water pools (doesn't normally like to get his paws wet)
The cottage is like home from home, everything has been thought of, wish we were staying longer. The wine, Welsh cakes and doggy treats what a lovely touch, thanks very much. We will definitely be coming again, until then xx

Jane and Jett,

What a charming cottage. We had a lovely few days, walks along the beach with the dog, just the thing for a lovely break away. Gucci our Staffy loved the garden.
Thank you xx
Would love to return, Dale, Jayne and Gucci 🐾

Dale,

Thank you for having such a lovely hideaway. Lola my westie loved the beach. We have rested despite it being quite hot. Not complaining, really appreciated the garden.

Helen and Lola,

What a lovely cottage - super clean and plenty of attention to detail. Thank you!! X

Hanlie and Eric and Claret,

Terri is described on various websites as a 'superhost' and she absolutely lives up to her name.
Upon entering the charming, spotlessly clean cottage, we immediately noticed the tasteful colour scheme and choice of furnishings and finishing touches that Terri had chosen, to make her guests feel as comfortable as possible.
Every available inch of this bijou cottage has been imaginatively utilised and Terri has provided every item that you could possibly need for your home from home stay.
The treats and fresh water were all ready to welcome our dogs when we arrived - who soon made themselves at home in the fully enclosed garden. And the wine, Welsh cakes and milk were very much appreciated by us humans after a fairly long journey.
We found the village inhabitants very friendly. The circular beach walks on our doorstep were a real treat, Terri was a mine of information regarding best places to visit and when. We're already looking forward to our next visit so we can take advantage of the log burner in the colder weather and in the meantime will be recommending Terri, Julian and their lovely cottage to all our friends.
In a nutshell here are a few observations (all dog friendly but check for occasional restrictions)
- Pembrey country park - amazing 8 mile stretch of beach
- St Davids - very small 'city' but worth the journey.
- Silva - charismatic artist in residence
- Laugharne - lovely walk around the castle and visit Dylan Thomas' boat house and writing shed. Nice little gift shop.
- Pendine - beautiful long beach and mostly dog friendly but MOD Corden off chunks during the week so best to visit weekends? (Lovely friendly people in the coffee shop next to the pub who made our dogs very welcome
- Kidwelly - Kidwelly quay and canal walk - hidden gem! Lots of paths to choose from and shade for the dogs.
- Glansteffan - Ferryside to Llansteffan (time table according to tide, doesn't run in winter)
- Botanic gardens - well worth a visit, loads to see an do, dogs welcome Mon and Fri and first weekday of the month.

Hope this will help one or two other people visiting the area for the first time.

With hugs and thanks to Terri and Julian
Xx

Lynn, Steve, Harry and Ernire,

Thank you for a lovely few days, the cottage was perfect and everything we needed it it be, cosy, well-equipped and homely. Would highly recommend XX

Tom, Harriet and Hugo,

A fabulous cottage - like a home from home. Was grateful for the fan as it was boiling outside - the cottage catches the sun from all angles, so having the fan was fab.
Beautiful village too - friendly neighbours.
110% recommend.
P.S thank you for the wine, biccies and Welsh cakes (yum yum) 🐾 Xx

Carly, Mark, Oreo and Poppy,

What can we say that hasn't already been said. Cottage is perfect. More than what we expected. Everything here that is needed right down to teabags and a bottle of wine that was enjoyed on a lovely summer's evening. So peaceful we loved it, including our 3 dogs who looked forward to every evening to our walks along the beach.
Can not recommend it enough. We shall be back, no worries.
Keith, Marilyn and Rhymes, Pip and Olive

Keith and Marilyn ,

Thank you for a lovely week in this gorgeous cottage. It was just what I needed - 7 days of rest and relaxation and a good break from my full time job of caring for my 94 year old dad. I haven't been to Ferryside for 57 years but it hasn't changed a bit.
Cottage is delightful and very comfortable. Highly recommend! Thanks again Terri. My dogs loved the beach too!
P.S thank you for the wine, Welsh cakes and doggy treats - so thoughtful xx

Alison, Jack and Meg,

Everything about this cottage is lovely, it has everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
We are local to Carmarthenshire and while having a new kitchen fitted decided to bring our two little dogs away for a few days, they've had a great time with lots of walks and playing in the garden.
Terri has been fantastic to deal with when booking and confirming everything, would recommend to everyone.
Thanks again.

Amanda, Paul, Charlie and Fergus,

Cottage is lovely. Well equipped and homely.
Would recommend the Red Lion in Llandyfaelog for Sunday lunch and Parc y Bocs farm shop and cafe in Kidwelly was lovely.

Jane, John and Dotty,

Wonderful few days in Hafan Fferi, lovely cottage, just right for two of us and Daisy the Collie. Everything here is so thoughtfully done, with special touches for the dogs, much appreciated by all of us.
We enjoyed a trip up the river on Glansteffan. Kidwelly and Llansteffan castles were a highlight, as was cycling to and from Kidwelly via St Ishmael's such a lovely road.
So much to do and see, all 3 of us hope to return!

Betty and David,

Lovely cottage, all we needed for a relaxing couple of days. Our dog Wilson enjoyed it too. Will come again xxx

Trevor and Lyn,

Here we are on our 2nd visit to this lovely cottage.
We missed out on the mini heatwave at Easter but had some exhilarating walks when storm Hannah blew in! Especially Pembrey sands and up to Scott's bay Llansteffan.
We had an excellent lunch at Parc y Bocs.
All in all despite the weather we've had a great few days here. Slept like logs in the very comfortable bed.
Thank you for the welcome goodies. Hope to see you in the Autumn.

Penny, David and Lena,

Well what can I add to what has been said. This cottage is a little gem, so cosy and clean. Laddie (my dog) enjoyed the garden. Came to visit the family and am more than pleased I found this cottage. Loved the welcome pack. We will come back.

Sue and Laddie,

We've had a relaxing couple of days in this gorgeous cottage.
Harry loved the window seat and his morning walks along the beach.
We were blessed with fabulous weather too, what more could we ask for.
We hope to be back again to escape for a truly relaxing weekend away

Claire, Dean and Harry,

Cosy little cottage. Fully equipped - well laid out, making full use of the space. Very tastefully decorated. Bed - very comfortable and a great size shower. Everything that has been written regarding the cottage we fully agree with and all of those little extras were very thoughtful and well appreciated. Lucy the dog loved it here too.
Sue, Steve and little Lucy (Lakeland terrier) X

Sue,

We booked here as a short getaway after our wedding! The cottage is a perfect size for a couple plus dogs, everything has been thought of. Terri has done a wonderful job of knitting out the cottage perfectly. The elderly greyhounds enjoyed the log burner very much on the cold nights and the walk to the beach is amazing. We were blessed with super weather both days. All in all we can't thank Terri enough for providing a doggy haven where everything has been thought of. We will be back!

Mini-moon,

Small and perfectly formed!

Absolutely loved our stay here with our two dogs, such a great set up with all the exits touches only a dog person would think of, the outside tap/ hose, extra dog towels/ blankets and bowls.

It really has felt like home from home. We enjoyed one sunny day on the beach in between showers and headed to Poachers rest for coffee and an evening meal, so friendly! Made a fuss of the dogs. We also highly recommend Parc y Bocs farm shop and cafe for great food and drinks with the dogs.

Thanks again, I'm sure we will be back!

Katie, Ash, Baxter & GiGi,

A short but perfectly formed stay in a small but perfectly formed cottage, for two + 1 (woofer)
The perfect spot for dog walks and sightseeing, we had a relaxing and enjoyable stay and wish we had a couple of extra days. The village is lovely and we recommend the 40min drive to Narberth too.
A huge thank you to Terri as the milk, Welsh cakes and wine were greatly appreciated. We shall definitely be recommending to friends.

Hilary, Phil and Elvis X 🐾,

From the moment we booked the cottage Terri was incredibly welcoming and helpful. When we arrived we thought the cottage looked lovely from the outside and we were delighted to be greeted with a welcoming bottle of wine and biscuits for Flynn! He was very pleased indeed! We found the cottage to be very well equipped and everything seems really well thought out. Dogs are made to feel very welcome and Flynn settled in quickly.
After reading other reviews we decided to explore some of the areas mentioned. We had a wonderful wet and windy walk along Pembrey beach and it was amazing to walk for miles with sand under our feet! We had one very happy Labrador and we all slept well that evening! After our walk we stopped at Daisy's little coffee shop for some amazing coffee and cake, well worth a visit!
We had another amazing day at National trust's Stackpole quay in Pembrokeshire. A stunning 2-3hr coastal walk with stunning views and a very pleasant coffee shop at the end. A very happy, tired Labrador once again!
Overall a truly amazing stay and a wonderful experience in the lovely village of Ferryside. We all look forward to coming back very soon!

Bob, Sarah and Flynn 🐾,

Home from home, I can't think of a single thing that hasn't been included in this cosy cottage.
We had some great days out, Mumbles, Rhossilli, Botanic gardens, but best of all Pembrey, it was beautiful and peaceful.
We've had days full of beach walks and beautiful valleys and evenings spent cosily in front of the TV.
Thank you for the wine, Welsh cakes πŸ˜ƒ but mostly thank you for the small details that make it feel like home.

Ginni, Wendy, Toby and Eric,

- We spent a long bank holiday weekend here and loved it
- The cottage is gorgeous, with every little detail thought of. There was milk, coffee, tea and sugar ready for us, as well as Welsh cakes and a bottle of red!
- In terms of local things to see and do we followed the advice of the last guests here and went to Pembrey country park for bike riding and beach walking, and our Labrador loved it there.
- We can recommend the Red Lion just outside of Kidwelly - dog friendly, people friendly, good food and good selection of gins!
- Lastly, try Stackpole quay - amazing clifftop walk leading down to a hidden gem of a beach, and a cute little National trust tearoom.
Thanks Wales!

Davina and Andy,
